About the Role
As a Senior Business Analyst in the RSSP Data Onboarding Team you’ll play a key role in helping to establish Risk Data Hub (on Google Cloud) as the strategic data platform used across the Risk Division.

What will your day look like?
- Kick off the day with a stand-up meeting to discuss project status, challenges, and priorities with the team.
- Analyse data using tools like Excel or SQL and generate requirements and translate requirements into data onboarding requirements for Risk Data Hub
- Meet with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify project scopes, and understand their business needs, ensuring alignment on objectives.
- Create and update documentation such as business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, and process flows to capture findings and project specifications.
- Coordinate or participate in business verification testing (BVT) sessions to validate that solutions meet business requirements and provide a seamless user experience.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project execution and integration.
- Address issues as they arise by analysing root causes and proposing actionable solutions to improve processes and drive business value.
- Spend time keeping up with industry trends, tools, and methodologies through reading, webinars, or training sessions to enhance skills and stay competitive.
- Work with business analysts and key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate requirements into data onboarding requirements for Risk Data Hub.
- Leveraging tools for optimal collaboration and knowledge sharing (Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint etc.).
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to move the Risk Data to Cloud (RDH-GCP).
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- 10-12 years of experience in a Business Analyst role with good communication, presentation, and data analysis skills
- Strong ability to translate data insights into practical technical and business solutions.
- Ability to analyse complex data and identify patterns or trends is crucial for deriving meaningful insights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for conveying ideas, gathering requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Experience with data analysis tools (like Excel, SQL, or BI software) and understanding of basic programming concepts can enhance analytical capabilities.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (like Agile or Waterfall) helps in planning, executing, and monitoring projects effectively.
- Technical experience on GCP BigQuery, SQL and Teradata
- Knowledge on DBT, Python and AbInito would be an added advantage.
