About the Role

 

As a Senior Associate, Technology Risk Prompt Engineering in our Risk, Group Technology team, you will operate as a hands-on partner to Senior Managers, Risk Managers, and fellow Associates to deliver decision-useful monitoring and automation across material Technology and Information Security (Cyber) risk themes.

You’ll combine hands-on data analysis and evidence collation with governed automation and AI-assisted drafting to improve timeliness, consistency and quality of insights.

You’ll build, test and maintain prompt and retrieval patterns, co-pilot agents and workflow automations using approved tooling (where authorised), while learning and applying required data governance, access controls, privacy and information security and human-in-the-loop checkpoints, logging, version control and audit-ready artefacts (prompt versions, test evidence and runbooks) to support reviews, thematic work, and other Line 2 oversight and analysis tasks.

What will your day look like?


As a Senior Associate, Technology Risk Prompt Engineering, you will:

 

  • Supporting delivery of the insights plan by translating priority insight routines into a practical delivery backlog of automation and
    agent use-cases (as agreed with the Senior Manager, Technology Risk Insights)
  • Working with Risk Officers and SMEs to capture repeatable workflows (report refreshes, evidence collation, control attestations,issues tracking) and translating them into clear automation/agent requirements with agreed acceptance criteria
  • Building and maintaining insight assets (datasets, definitions, lineage notes, dashboards and briefing packs) that provide timely,trusted insight on control effectiveness, resilience outcomes, risk-in-change and remediation progress
  • Building and maintaining workflow automations (data extraction, transformation, scheduling, approvals and notifications) to improve timeliness, reduce manual effort and increase consistency of risk reporting and insight delivery
  • Supporting integration with existing platforms (reporting datasets, SharePoint/Teams and risk tooling) and contributing to userguidance and adoption (how-to guides, training snippets, support triage and continuous improvement)
  • Coordinating with Technology, Cyber, Risk, Data and Internal Audit stakeholders on analytics, automation and agent use-cases,definitions, thresholds and evidence expectations to improve consistency and reduce duplication
  • Continuously improving templates, automations and agent behaviours to increase consistency, timeliness and decisionusefulness;documenting lessons learned and maintaining a clear change log of updates
  • Supporting uplift tracking (e.g., PACT-aligned measures) by automating evidence collation and improving repeatability of reporting outputs
  • Operating as a hands-on specialist, demonstrating strong documentation and quality discipline so automations and agents are safe, repeatable and supportable

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Experience in automation, engineering delivery, analytics engineering, risk analytics or a similar role, with evidence of delivering workflow solutions used by business teams
  • Hands-on experience with prompt engineering and building AI-assisted workflows/agents using approved tooling (e.g., Microsoft Copilot ecosystem) including evaluation, guardrails and iteration based on user feedback
  • Strong data skills: ability to work with structured and semi-structured data, define data quality checks and build reliable refresh pipelines for recurring reporting (e.g., SQL and data wrangling)
  • Experience with workflow automation and integration tooling (e.g., Power Automate), scripting (Python preferred) and/or APIs, plus strong documentation and runbook discipline
  • Experience delivering solutions for Technology Risk, Cyber Risk, Operational Risk or governance/reporting teams within Financial Services
  • Working understanding of risk and control concepts (e.g., technology/cyber risk, operational risk, issues/incidents, control testing) and the ability to translate policy/standards into practical checks within an agent or workflow
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills: ability to capture pain points, prototype solutions and deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes; comfortable taking guidance and escalating risks and blockers early
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Data/Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems), or equivalent practical experience.
