About the Role
This role is responsible for supporting the management of non-financial risk across Transaction Banking and Corporate Finance products, including Payments and Cash Management, Trade, Digital Payments and relevant lending or client solution activities.
The role works under the guidance of senior NFR colleagues and partners with product, sales, implementation, operations, technology and digital delivery stakeholders to provide practical risk support that enables safe, sustainable and customer-focused outcomes.
At Junior Associate Director level, the role supports the identification, assessment, management, monitoring and reporting of material non-financial risks across the product, platform and client lifecycle. The incumbent will contribute to strengthening the control environment, support product change and client implementation risk activities, assist with governance and regulatory readiness, and escalate issues, incidents and emerging risks through appropriate channels.

What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for supporting the delivery of the following outcomes:
Product and Trade Risk Support
Support senior NFR colleagues in providing practical risk advice across Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance products, client solutions, commercialization activities, and business change initiatives.
Prepare analysis on trade product risk profiles, control effectiveness, customer outcomes, and risks associated with product, process, and technology change.
Translate business, operational, and technology risk information into clear insights, reports, and governance updates.
Support risk management activities across Trade Finance products, including Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Documentary Collections, Trade Loans, and Supply Chain Finance solutions.
Risk and Control Environment
Assist in the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of non-financial risks across the end-to-end trade product lifecycle.
Support management of operational, compliance, conduct, technology, cyber, data, fraud, third-party, financial crime, sanctions, and resilience risks.
Maintain risk and control documentation, collate evidence, analyse key risk indicators, and track actions, issues, and remediation plans.
Contribute to risk assessments, control reviews, issue management, incident response, and remediation activities.
Product Change, Delivery and Implementation Risk
Support risk input for new trade products, product enhancements, process improvements, client implementations, digitization initiatives, and strategic change programs.
Assist with risk assessments, implementation controls, dependency tracking, and governance activities through design, testing, rollout, and post-implementation reviews.
Identify and escalate operational, regulatory, financial crime, customer, or control concerns through appropriate governance channels.
Governance, Regulatory Readiness and Stakeholder Engagement
Prepare governance materials, issue updates, action trackers, risk reports, and supporting documentation for relevant forums and committees.
Support a regulator-ready environment through effective documentation, evidence management, and timely closure of actions.
Work collaboratively with Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Financial Crime, Second Line Risk, and Internal Audit stakeholders to support effective risk outcomes.
Support the implementation of regulatory and policy requirements across Trade Finance products and processes.
Risk Culture and Capability
Promote strong first-line risk ownership and accountability across Trade Finance teams.
Share lessons learned from incidents, reviews, audits, and regulatory feedback to strengthen risk awareness.
Support continuous improvement of risk management practices, governance frameworks, controls, and reporting.
Contribute to building a proactive risk culture that supports sustainable customer and business outcomes.
What will you bring?
To Grow and Be Successful in This Role, You Will Ideally Bring the Following:
- 10+ years of experience in Financial Services, Non-Financial Risk, Operational Risk, Controls, Governance, Compliance, Audit, Product Management, Operations, or Risk Management roles.
- Sound understanding of non-financial risk management concepts, including risk assessment, controls, issues and incident management, risk reporting, governance and risk in change.
- Awareness of key risk exposures relevant to Transaction Banking products, digital channels and Corporate Finance activities, including operational, compliance, technology, cyber, data, fraud, third-party, conduct, financial crime and resilience risks.
- Ability to analyze risk and control information, identify themes, prepare clear documentation and escalate issues appropriately.
- Experience supporting governance processes, action tracking, risk assessments, control uplift, remediation, product change or implementation activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summaries complex information clearly for stakeholders and governance forums.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across business, risk and control teams to support sustainable risk outcomes.
- Exposure to payments, cash management, trade finance, digital payments, client connectivity, APIs, corporate lending or client solution processes
