About the Role
This role is responsible for supporting the management of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) across Transaction Banking Payments & Cash Management (PCM) products and services, including domestic and cross-border payments, liquidity and cash management solutions, virtual accounts, receivables and payables solutions, client connectivity, and related transaction banking capabilities.
Working under the guidance of senior NFR colleagues, the role partners with Product, Sales, Implementation, Operations, Technology, Digital Delivery, and Control Functions to provide practical risk support that enables safe, sustainable, and customer-focused outcomes.
At the Junior Associate Director level, the role supports the identification, assessment, monitoring, management, and reporting of material non-financial risks across the end-to-end product, platform, and client lifecycle. The incumbent will contribute to strengthening the control environment, supporting product and platform change initiatives, client implementations, governance activities, and regulatory readiness, while escalating issues, incidents, and emerging risks through appropriate channels.

What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for supporting the delivery of the following outcomes:
Product Risk Support
Support senior NFR colleagues in providing practical risk advice across Payments and Cash Management products, client solutions, commercialization activities, platform delivery, and business change initiatives.
Prepare analysis on product risk profiles, control effectiveness, customer outcomes, and risk impacts associated with product, process, and technology change.
Translate product, operational, and technology risk information into clear insights, reports, and updates for stakeholders and governance forums.
Support risk management activities across payments, liquidity and cash management, receivables, payables, virtual accounts, and client connectivity solutions.
Risk and Control Environment
Assist in the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of non-financial risks across the end-to-end product and service lifecycle.
Support management of operational, compliance, technology, cyber, data, fraud, third-party, conduct, financial crime, and resilience risks.
Maintain risk and control documentation, collate evidence, analyse key risk indicators, and track actions, issues, and remediation plans.
Contribute to risk assessments, control testing, issue management, incident response, and remediation activities.
Product Change, Delivery and Implementation Risk
Support risk input for product enhancements, payment capabilities, client implementations, platform upgrades, and strategic change initiatives.
Assist with risk assessments, implementation controls, dependency management, and governance activities throughout design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation reviews.
Identify and escalate operational, regulatory, customer, resilience, or control risks through appropriate governance channels.
Governance, Regulatory Readiness and Stakeholder Engagement
Prepare governance materials, risk reports, issue updates, action trackers, and supporting documentation for relevant forums and committees.
Support a regulator-ready environment through effective documentation, evidence management, and timely closure of actions.
Work collaboratively with Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Financial Crime, Second Line Risk, and Internal Audit stakeholders to support effective risk outcomes.
Support the implementation of regulatory and policy requirements across Payments and Cash Management products.
Risk Culture and Capability
Promote strong first-line risk ownership and accountability across Payments and Cash Management teams.
Share lessons learned from incidents, audits, reviews, and regulatory feedback to strengthen risk awareness.
Support continuous improvement of risk management practices, governance frameworks, controls, and reporting.
Contribute to building a proactive risk culture that supports sustainable business growth and customer outcomes.
What will you bring?
To Grow and Be Successful in This Role, You Will Ideally Bring the Following:
- 10+ years of experience in Financial Services, Non-Financial Risk, Operational Risk, Controls, Governance, Compliance, Product Management, Operations, Technology, or Risk Management roles.
- Strong understanding of Transaction Banking Payments and Cash Management products and services, including domestic and international payments, liquidity management, receivables, payables, virtual accounts, and client connectivity solutions.
- Sound understanding of non-financial risk management concepts, including risk assessments, controls, issue and incident management, governance, risk reporting, and risk-in-change.
- Awareness of key risks associated with Payments and Cash Management businesses, including operational, compliance, technology, cyber, data, fraud, third-party, conduct, financial crime, and resilience risks.
- Exposure to Payments, Cash Management, Client Connectivity, APIs, Digital Payments, liquidity solutions, or related Transaction Banking capabilities.
- Ability to analyze risk and control information, identify emerging themes, prepare clear documentation, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Experience supporting governance processes, risk assessments, control uplift initiatives, issue management, remediation activities, and regulatory change programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summaries complex information clearly for stakeholders and governance forums.
- Proven stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, risk, technology, operations, and control functions.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement, strong risk culture, and sustainable risk outcomes.
