About the Role

 

As a Release Lead in our Banker Digital Experience (BDX) Tech Area you’ll play a key role in helping to delivering Releases, Our tech are is focused on enabling our Bankers to deliver great service to customers to enhance their financial wellbeing, through intelligent, integrated tools and processes. We are the driving force behind the technological advancements that enhance the digital banking experience for bankers and customers As a Release Lead, you’ll champion Agile ways of working across multiple squads, and will be working with Product Owners, Analysts and Delivery Leads across Tribes to convert business initiatives into cross-platform releases of new technology features or enhancements.

Work Hours: Regular (7 AM to 4 PM) with Hybrid work model

 

What will your day look like?

 

As a Release Lead, you will:

  • Provide Release Management as a service to the Tribe, working closely with Squad Product Owners, Engineers and Technical leads to coach, plan and manage successful implementation across multiple teams.
  • Adopt and Leverage the Agile Release Train where required, to enable a cadenced delivery regime for the tribe to use.
  • Plan, Promote and Communicate Releases for the CSP(Customer Service Platform) to present the best outcome for the customer and ANZ, based on the Tribe
  • Develop and embed release engineering practices to influence the optimisation and flow of value through the releases, to ensure alignment of priorities and timeframes.
  • Track and resolve impediments for the release as well as post release, Drive continuous improvement of the release management framework.

 

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience in delivering cross-Tribe releases working collaboratively with variety of stakeholders through Agile ways of Working.
  • In depth knowledge of Delivery Framework and ANZ Change Management Process, with the understanding of Agile Methodologies and its application for delivering releases.
  • Ability to create and maintain high-level release plan that outlines Delivery timelines factoring in for dependencies, uncertainties and risks.
  • Dev-ops understanding (CI/CD Pipeline). Experience in common tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo.
  • Knowledge and experience with cross-platform/cross tribe integration testing and ability to coordinate end to end delivery.
  • Knowledge in using Project Management Tools such as MS Project, Visio and be able to provide Work Break down structure and Process mapping.
