About the Role

As an Engineer in our Home Loans Domain, you’ll play a key role in helping to make great Home Loan experiences possible by reliably providing easy to use product and services. You will ensure Home Lending Systems Stability and Availability. Focusing on Incident, Problem and Change Management. You will work closely with squad members to ensure outcomes meet customer expectations.

What will your day look like?

The Production Support Engineer (Python) will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our production systems, ensuring seamless operations and quick resolution of any issues. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and debugging skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Deep understanding of Python codebases, experience in maintenance tasks, and thrive in enterprise environments with longer release cycles.

  • Monitoring and maintaining the health of production systems, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues

  • Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and utilizing your Python expertise for maintenance tasks such as updating dependencies and optimizing performance.

  • Conduct thorough debugging and troubleshooting, document issues and fixes comprehensively, proactively anticipate potential issues

  • Work closely with other Engineers, QA teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and effective problem resolution.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Strong Proficiency in Python Programming: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Python codebases.

  • Experience with Django, Pandas, Selenium, Behave, and SQL: Familiarity with these technologies will be crucial in performing your day-to-day tasks.

  • Experience in Analysis and Defect Fixes: Proficiency in identifying and resolving defects in production systems.

  • Experience in L1 & L2 Support: Ability to handle first and second-level support issues efficiently.

  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience in implementing and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.

  • Debugging Skills: Expertise in using debugging tools and techniques to identify and fix issues efficiently.

  • Attention to Detail: Precision is crucial when identifying and resolving defects.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex problems, trace issues, and understand underlying causes.

  • Enterprise Environment Experience: Proven experience working in enterprise environments with longer release cycles.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address and resolve issues effectively.

  • Communication and Teamwork Abilities: Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work well with other engineers, QA teams, and stakeholders.

  • Maintenance Tasks: Familiarity with tasks such as updating dependencies, optimizing performance, and ensuring system reliability.

  • Proactiveness: Ability to anticipate potential issues and address them before they become critical.

  • Documentation Skills: Keeping thorough records of issues, fixes, and maintenance tasks for future reference.
