About the Role

In the role of Payroll Specialist, you will support the delivery of a resilient, scalable, and compliant payroll operation that enables business growth and a seamless employee experience.

You will ensure payroll accuracy, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness through strong controls and attention to detail. The role involves contributing to a skilled, cross-trained team and driving consistent payroll outcomes.

You will support process standardization, centralization, and automation initiatives while identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost discipline. Additionally, you will partner with stakeholders to deliver timely payroll outcomes, manage risks effectively, and respond proactively to evolving business needs.

What will your day look like?


As a Payroll Specialist, you will:

 

  • Ensure payroll operations are accurate, compliant, documented, and audit‑ready across all supported countries.
  • Maintain 100% payroll accuracy with zero critical errors annually.
  • Build a cross‑skilled team and deliver BAU payroll within agreed timelines.
  • Support end‑to‑end payroll changes, incidents, and requests through proper testing and closure.
  • Promote a strong risk culture, encouraging speak‑up behaviours and accountability.
  • Maintain standardized, accurate, and accessible payroll documentation.
  • Actively participate in vendor governance, bank-wide payroll initiatives, and performance reviews.
  • Complete annual documentation reviews with 100% compliance and zero audit findings.
  • Support regulatory and contractual compliance across geographies.
  • Ensure no payroll delays due to resource gaps; remain ready to support additional countries.
  • Deliver 100% of salary and bonus cycles on time annually.

 

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Require 4+ Years experience in managing multi-country or regional payroll operations
  • Experience with MS Excel and large ERP/payroll systems (SAP SuccessFactors preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, statutory requirements, and audit processes
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems, integrations, and service delivery models
  • Experience in payroll transformation, centralization, or system implementations
  • Proven ability in team capability building, cross-training, and engagement
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in SLA management, reporting, and performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills in high-accountability environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex issues and apply sound judgment.
