About the Role

 

In the role of Payments Processing Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent support for the classification and pre-assessment process, ensuring accurate evaluation and categorization of cases, requests, or applications. You will review submitted information, verify completeness and compliance, identify priorities and risk factors, and determine appropriate classifications based on established criteria. Through careful analysis and timely decision-making, you will help streamline workflows, maintain consistency in assessments, and support operational efficiency. Facilitating a seamless handover between teams will result in a quality customer experience and foster stronger interdepartmental collaboration.

Work Hours: 1 AM (IST) Onwards subject to daylight savings 

 

What will your day look like?

As a Payments Processing Associate, you will:

 

  • Process payments accurately and within agreed timelines, minimizing risks and potential losses arising from delayed or incorrect payment deliveries.
  • Support customer-facing teams in handling customer enquiries and queries professionally across multiple channels, escalating complex issues to senior staff or the Section Head when required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, ANZ entities, and business teams, to ensure effective collaboration and service delivery.
  • Manage end-to-end payment processing activities, including system processing in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures, handling enquiries from customers and correspondent banks, preparing regulatory and internal reports, and promptly escalating suspicious transactions, fraud risks, customer disputes, or operational errors.
  • Partner with relevant business units and functions to enhance understanding of their operating environment, products, organizational structure, and compliance requirements, enabling effective support and risk management.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

 

  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, with 0–3 years of experience (banking or lending experience will be an added advantage).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities, meet strict deadlines, and handle complex transactions with accuracy.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, with strong computer literacy and efficient, accurate data entry skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
  • Good understanding of lending products, lending operations, and credit assessment processes.
  • Knowledge of lending assessment, including document verification, financial analysis, risk identification, and credit evaluation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
