About the Role
As a LOO Return Specialist, you'll play an important role in supporting Institutional and Commercial Lending customers by ensuring the accurate validation, processing and setup of lending facilities.
Working closely with Relationship Managers, Credit teams, Product partners and Operations stakeholders, you will be responsible for reviewing returned Letters of Offer, validating documentation requirements, and completing facility setup activities across core lending platforms such as Loan IQ, Orion and other banking systems.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment, has strong attention to detail, and is passionate about delivering excellent customer, banker and risk outcomes while contributing to process improvement initiatives.

What will your day look like?
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring:
- Experience in Lending Operations, Banking Operations, Loan Administration, or Customer Documentation.
- Understanding of lending processes, facility setup, and documentation requirements.
- Knowledge of Loan IQ, Orion, CACHE, or similar banking systems.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with Front Office, Credit, Risk, and Operations teams.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Understanding of operational risk and control management.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Institutional Banking, Commercial Banking, or Corporate Lending Operations.
- Exposure to Loan IQ and lending facility maintenance activities.
- Experience supporting process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across banking functions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Reviewing and validating returned Letters of Offer to ensure compliance with execution requirements and internal policies.
- Processing lending facilities accurately and efficiently in systems such as Loan IQ and Orion.
- Completing documentation and operational activities within agreed service levels and quality standards.
- Responding to stakeholder enquiries and providing timely updates on processing status.
- Performing validation and verification checks to ensure approval conditions and documentation requirements have been met.
- Maintaining workflow tools and operational records to ensure transparency and accurate reporting.
- Building strong relationships with Relationship Management, Credit, Product and Operations teams.
- Identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve customer outcomes and reduce operational risk.
- Escalating issues, risks and exceptions appropriately to management.
- Supporting business continuity, change initiatives and transformation projects as required.
- Participating in team discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions and continuous improvement activities.
