About the Role

The role of a Operations Senior Analyst for Payments Investigation exists to resolve payment-related discrepancies efficiently, ensuring accurate transaction processing and safeguarding financial integrity. Its scope includes analysing failed or delayed payments, coordinating with internal/external teams, mentoring junior analysts, driving process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate systemic issues and maintaining compliance with regulatory and operational standards

What will your day look like?

As an Operations Senior Analyst , you will:

• Investigate and resolve failed, delayed, or misrouted payments within defined service levels.
• Analyse transaction data to determine the cause of payment discrepancies and document findings clearly.
• Ensure all investigations comply with internal policies and external regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, finance) and external partners (e.g., banks, clients) to resolve issues.
• Maintain detailed records of investigations and contribute to periodic reporting for operational insights.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to reduce future payment failures.
• Lead investigations into high-value, multi-jurisdictional, or escalated payment discrepancies.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Deep familiarity with domestic and international payment networks (e.g., SWIFT, ACH, RTGS, NEFT).
• Strong grasp of financial regulations including AML, KYC, OFAC, and data privacy norms
• Competence in using Excel, payment tracking tools, and case management systems.
• Prior exposure to resolving payment issues in a banking or financial services environment.
• Experience with systems like SAP, Oracle, or other transaction processing tools.
• Minimum of 3 years banking experience in a payments or transaction processing role within banking, fintech, or corporate treasury.
