About the Role
As an Observability Engineer in our Enterprise Service Operations you’ll play a key role in helping to Monitor the performance of all the critical applications, support and maintain the Monitoring and observability platform. This role manage the tribe backlog, working closely with others to prioritise work, manage interdependencies and distil features to epics. TPLs define what success looks like for the tribe and then measure their progress against that. In some cases, this role will also manage a chapter of Product Owners.

What will your day look like?
As an Observability Engineer, you will:
- Undertake the support and maintenance activities to enable monitoring and insights of the technology landscape.
- Collaborate across all Technology to drive improvement in our ability to effectively utilise monitoring across Technology.
- Contribute to drive innovation and efficiencies within the Operational Tools Services CoE and Technology more broadly.
- Contribute to the development of best in class, leading monitoring systems and tooling capability.
- Participate in, and where required, lead sprints to deploy monitoring tools and services which enable real time monitoring and insight for a Command Centre environment.
- Provide consulting services to projects to assess, define, and implement fit for purpose and cost-effective monitoring solution and toolsets.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Extensive Experience: Minimum 10 Years of Overall experience and 6 years of relevant experience. Proven expertise in Application Performance & Monitoring tools, with a strong focus on deploying and managing Dynatrace and New Relic.
- Certifications: Dynatrace and/or New Relic certifications are highly desirable.
- Platform Proficiency: Solid experience with Windows, Solaris, and Linux (RHEL) platforms.
- Technical Background: Strong background in technical infrastructure, application development, and support, with a preference for Java, DotNet, and Python development.
- Modern Environments: Working experience in containerized and microservice environments.
- Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD technologies.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to solve complex problems while prioritizing customer needs.
