About the Role


As a Network Engineer in our CDIS, you’ll play a key role in helping understand and discuss business / organisational requirements with the customer, challenging and clarifying when appropriate

What will your day look like?

  • Develop high / low-level designs and implementation plans, provide estimations on delivery and implementation effort,

  • Be encouraged to pursue hands-on engineering and infrastructure development opportunities,

  • Help shape how Solution Engineering, and Network Services delivers on its commitment to provide great customer and technical service through technology innovation,

  • Provide inspiration and a sense of purpose to others, encouraging personal and professional development,

  • Leverage past experience & knowledge of technologies and technology environments to hold credible, insightful discussions on the use of specific technologies,

  • Develop and maintain platform roadmaps, patterns, and standards, and most of all,

  • Be part of a high performing team

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Solid understanding of Networking Concepts and supporting Knowledge

  • Minimum relevant experience of 7+ Years in a customer facing environment.

  • Minimum 12 months of experience in a similar role / consulting role

  • Proven experience in the following:

  • Cisco networking infrastructure (inc. VxLAN EVPN, MPLS, LAN, WAN, SDWAN)

  • Private/Public Cloud Migration design (AWS, GCP, VMC, VCF, NSX-T)

  • Radware Server Load Balancing / Reverse Proxy infrastructure

  • Network Security (firewalls (Palo Alto & Checkpoint) and other policy enforcement devices)

  • WAN Optimisation Devices (Riverbed Steelhead)

  • Routing technologies (OSPF, BGP etc)

  • Traffic management technologies (local balancing, prioritisation etc)

  • Data Centre & Internet Gateway network solution design

  • Enterprise network solution design

  • Enterprise Scale Network Management systems & automation

  • Experience in enterprise level Service desk and Operational management tools and ITIL experience

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
