About the Role

 

Reporting to the Trade Control, Manager. The role has been created to support the growing Business in Global Markets and to provide additional support to the team and to the main stakeholders.

The Markets Process Specialist will be part of Trade Control team. The individual will validate trade inputs and ensure validation process is completed consistently according to defined requirements. The individual will also be responsible to perform various controls, reconciliations and investigations to ensure trade booking completeness and accuracy. Furthermore, the individual will maintain statistics with regards to validation volumes and trade booking errors. The incumbent will also ensure all system queues that must be cleared by EOD have been checked and all trades pushed to the Operations area for processing. On top of this, the role holder will build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, senior managers, group and other key stakeholders, anticipating and responding to evolving customer needs through controlling and delivering project communications.

What will your day look like?


Key areas of responsibilities are:

    • To support the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) business
    • Monitoring and validation of trade bookings against source documents.
    • Carrying out control checks and reconciliation on trading activity and perform checks on systems exceptions and queues.
    • Execution of daily control tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of trade capture
    • To document procedures and keep them updated
    • To cross train team for global support model
    • Work closely with BM / BG / Finance for new proposals/ high risk points / process improvements
    • Testing for proposed system enhancements
    • Identify work improvement areas to improve overall team’s work effectiveness and efficiency

 

 

The role requires excellent knowledge FX, Commodities, Rates and all Fixed income products along with the knowledge of Trades Life Cycle.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Sound knowledge of Global Markets’ workflows including Trade booking, Data flows, key processes, confirmations, settlements and reconciliations.
  • Previous detailed experience in ANZ change methodologies.
  • Able to foster good relationship building and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Operational Risk Management principles, Reconciliations and Controls.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
