About the Role


As a Manager for collateral management, you’ll responsible for overseeing daily clearing and collateral operations, ensuring effective margining, collateral optimisation, regulatory compliance, and strong stakeholder engagement across Front Office, Risk, Legal, Operations, and external clearing houses. The role plays a key part in risk mitigation, control assurance, and service delivery excellence within ANZ’s Markets Operations framework.

What will your day look like?

As a Manager for collateral management, you are primarily responsible for:

 

  • Manage end-to-end clearing and collateral processes across OTC and listed derivatives.
  • Oversee margin calls (IM/VM), collateral movements, substitutions, reconciliations, and settlements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely interaction with CCPs, custodians, clearing brokers, and counterparties.
  • Monitor collateral eligibility, concentration limits, haircuts, and valuation methodologies.
  • Contribute to regulatory change projects and new market infrastructure adoption.
  • Drive efficiency, scalability, and resilience across clearing and collateral operations.

 

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 10 to 12 years experience in clearing, collateral management, or derivatives operations within a global bank or financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of margining, CCP clearing models, and collateral optimisation.
  • Proven experience managing teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting clearing and collateral.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
