About the Role

 

As a Lead Technical Business Analyst in the Tech Pacific Domain, you are responsible for leading business analysis activities across complex projects, ensuring business objectives are effectively translated into robust technical solutions, and managing teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Role Purpose:

  • To use analytical and communication skills to elicit, understand, validate and document requirements for business issues, functions and processes from high-level business needs through to detailed solution requirements. 
  • The role plays a key role in supporting the delivery of solutions through the SDLC and in Agile delivery methodologies.
  • The Business Analyst may work independently or in a scrum environment on small/ low complexity changes; with guidance as part of BA team on low-medium complexity components of larger initiatives.

What will you bring?

 

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, including at least 4 years in a lead role.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end gathering and analysis of business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, project managers, and business stakeholders to define and validate technical solutions.
  • Analyze business and stakeholders need to define detailed functional and non-functional requirements that support solution design and development.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable system capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, compliance, and banking regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of banking products, services, and the regulatory environment.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including use cases, prototypes, and technical specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions with internal teams and stakeholders to elicit and refine requirements.
  • Operate effectively in cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams, actively participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Act as a key liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring solutions meet user expectations and strategic goals.
  • Identify gaps, dependencies, and risks, providing recommendations to improve business processes and technical solutions.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, supporting test case creation, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
  • Build and manage strong stakeholder relationships, demonstrating effective communication and influence at senior levels.

Detailed Description

 

Technical Tool Kit:

 

Candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following technical areas.

 

  • Good Knowledge of programming and scripting, with practical experience in Python, Java, and basic JavaScript, API testing tools (Postman, Swagger)
  • Good Knowledge on Cloud, Integration, Version Control, Devops & Testing
  • Requirements Management & Collaboration: JIRA, Confluence, IBM DOORS, Trello, Asana
  • Process Modeling & Diagramming: BPMN tools (Bizagi, Camunda), UML tools (Enterprise Architect, Lucidchart, Visio), Wireframing tools (Balsamiq, Figma)
  • Data Analysis & Visualization: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server), Tableau, Power BI, Excel (advanced), Python (data analysis), Jupyter Notebook
