About the Role


As an Integration Engineer in our Enterprise Integration Service, you’ll play a key role in delivering robust, flexible and secure integration platforms and offering integration capability as a service.  Our Engineers design, build, test and support integration solutions across platforms working closely with other squad members to ensure customer outcomes. What will your day look like?

  • Developing new skills in software development, coding and automation
  • Contributing towards solutions in deployment, change management and incident management
  • Participates in support roster to provide on going support for platforms as required e.g. problem and incident management
  • Building continuous delivery practices to increase delivery speed
  • Participating in collaborative teams to build robust and scalable integration platforms
  • Utilises tools in best practices to build, verify and deploy platfaorm solutions while learning about efficiency and robustness
  • Be mentored, coached and advised by senior employees about how to build, assemble, code and deploy effective solutions.
  • Participates in a culture within the Technology Area and the Engineering Chapter encouraging collaboration, continual learning and improvement
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation, ensuring that published specifications accurately reflect the real world.
  • Participates in meetings with squad members to estimate, plan and deliver integration solutions as part of strategic and bank wide initiatives.
  • Learn from technical advisors.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Background in Software/platform Engineering combined with broad capabilities and experience to innovate and adapt to the latest developments, technologies and tooling.
  • Writing technical documentation covering audit, disaster recovery, observability, coding standards and more
  • Experience on Kubernetes, Docker, Dockerfile familiarity, Helm Charts
  • Kong(API Gateway) implementation, testing and design
  • Hands on coding experience with Node.js, Python etc
  • Knowledge in Containerisation / Kubernetes(EKS/GKE) / Openshift
  • Good understanding of API design & Security principles
  • Micro-Service Driven Architecture Principles
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD automation, preferably CodeFresh/GitActions
  • Knowledge of testing techniques, including mocking and performance testing, and code coverage
  • Observability frameworks(New Relic, Dyna Trace implementation and configuration)
  • AWS/GCP Cloud familiarity
  • YAML, JSON familiarity
  • DevOps – Infrastructure as Code Mentality
  • Understanding of Certificate Authorities, certificate signing requests/Networking
