About the Role

 

As a Governance Analyst in the Business Governance and Assurance team, you will work with the Divisional Governance Manager to support the business with its regulatory priorities regarding risk forums and committees, adhere to deadlines and ensures all activities are implemented in accordance to our regulatory commitments, working with teams across Commercial in creating a framework to help manage our responses in a timely manner, and work with senior executives across Australia Commercial in relation to their BEAR responsibilities.

What will your day look like?

 

This role is accountable for:

 

  • Supporting Divisional Governance Lead with management of first line divisional governance forums & oversight of risk culture action plan Review and challenge of key divisional compliance documentation

  • Drives improvements to customer experience, making things simpler and better for our bankers, freeing them up to better serve our customers.

  • Supporting delivery of risk strategy and governance initiatives, balances business, customer, and regulatory requirements to deliver sound business growth and make things simpler and better for the business

  • Assist with the design in conjunction with broader team and other relevant parties end to end processes (where appropriate) to deliver on agreed risk strategy and portfolio data initiatives.

  • Assist in engagement with other functions within ANZ to drive synergies and mitigate risks for the business, ensuring that initiatives are appropriate and meeting ANZ requirements.

  • Support Divisional Governance Lead to establish and maintain governance processes to ensure we are well managed and appropriate manage risk, with a focus on reporting data.

  • Communication: The ability to effectively convey and comprehend information in both spoken and written formats, ensuring clear messaging across all levels, including senior management and risk forums.

  • Critical Thinking: Applying logic and reasoning to analyse, evaluate, and synthesize information to understand opportunities, challenges, and risks.

  • Storytelling Through Packs: Expertise in crafting compelling narratives using ANZ formatting to present complex information in a structured, visually engaging manner.

  • Presentation & Deck Preparation: Hands-on experience in preparing decks for senior management and delivering presentations in risk forums.

  • Incident & Risk Management: Processing and coordinating timely responses to incidents, assessing risks, and determining corrective actions to mitigate potential issues.

  • Planning & Prioritization: Managing tasks, resources, and dependencies effectively to align with strategic priorities.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and other M and presentations
