Shift Schedule: Standard working hours

The role sits within Core Finance (Treasury) Tech area under Enterprise Finance and Data domain in Group Services division. Treasury systems are Group OFSAA, ABS+ and a number of SaaS products.  We service the Group Treasury Business, and our systems have complex upstream and downstream integration footprint. 

As a Lead Engineer your role is to analyse, design, build, test & deploy solutions in Group OFSAA and OBIEE for our internal customer, the Group Treasury team.  You will be a hands-on Lead that delivers changes and manages a small group of engineers to deliver changes.  You will work in the Treasury Tech squad, alongside the Group Treasury Systems & Data team that will have accountability for some parts of the technology stack.   You will deliver and manage the workload of your team for releases on the OFSAA/OBIEE applications

What will your day look like?

  • Lead and mentor a team, ensuring delivery quality, capability building, and career development
  • Collaborate with engineering leads, domain squads, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and manage dependencies
  • Participate in continuous planning cycles and manage change delivery schedules
  • Working on design, build and unit testing activities on OFSAA & OBIEE encompassing:
    • Control-M Batch Scheduling / Splunk Alerting
    • PMM Framework (Batch Process Execution)
    • OFSAA APEX User Interface
    • Inbound File Management (incl. Load to SNP)
    • OFSAA Outbound File Management
    • OFSAA PAD Tool
    • OFSAA Integration Mgt (Connect:Direct, Control-M, others)
    • OFSAA OBIEE Reporting Build and Server Administration
  • Work closely with other squads on integration testing and defect resolution
  • Engage with business users for UAT support, issue triage, and sign-off
  • Apply strong data analysis, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis skills
  • Prepare and maintain design, build, test, and deployment documentation

What will you bring?

  • Must have 7+ years of experience in IT, including at least 2 years managing teams.
  • Advanced understanding of Relational data models
  • Experience writing PL/SQL and coding in programming languages, 3GL or greater. 
  • Strong skills in Control-M batch scheduling
  • Developing ETL solutions to execute in an Oracle RDBMS
  • Linux shell scripting
  • Strong skills in standard ANZ development tools eg., Github
  • Good Understanding of continuous delivery principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate with squad members and stakeholders in tech and business, ability to update technical documentation

Highly Desirable

  • OFSAA Application Development and / or OBIEE Application Development desirable
  • BI report development concepts
  • Ability to work with multiple delivery partners to schedule and deliver change
  • Passionate about learning new technology
  • Strong understanding of ITIL, incident, problem and change management
