About the Role

At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive and to achieve this, we need a talented Engineers to join our Markets Fixed Income eTrading Technology Squad. As part of Institutional Technology, our Technology Area (aka "Tech Area") is responsible for infrastructure, delivery and support of Markets Trading and Sales. We are specifically delivering the technology components of the "eFICC" strategy, which aims to bolster the Bank's market share in Fixed Income and Swaps trading by enhancing its market penetration and improving customer experience through automation.

This role requires a Senior Business Support Analyst with a proven track record in supporting Front office trading systems and interacting with fixed income traders by resolving their issues. 
The Markets business unit at ANZ has several value-generating initiatives that it wants to progress while other major programs like Benchmark Transition are underway. The successful applicant would be working under the supervision of our analyst lead to fast trade these business initiatives.

What will your day look like?

As an Engineer, you are accountable to:

• Works with traders, sales, analysts, business managers to support the systems
• Works with developers to elicit production issues
• Helps other global support team for resolving complex problems in production
• Works with internal teams (pricing/risk/valuation systems) to investigate issues and test the solution.
• Incident and problem management.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

•    Excellent understanding of fixed income products such as bonds and swaps pricing as well as yield curve construction
•    Hands on experience with Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Bonds pricing and Fixed Income electronic trading
•    Good quantitative skills necessary for IRS / Bond pricing investigation 
•    Hands on experience in front office trading platforms such as ION Trading MarketView, ION Pricing Engine (PXE, XPE), ION D2C & D2D gateways, Bloomberg TOMS, and Murex
•    Experience in platforms like Bloomberg and Refinitiv, trading venues like Yieldbroker, MarketAxess and TradeWeb, and trading systems like ION and Murex
•    Experienced with tools such as JIRA, Confluence and project management tools
•    Hands on with Incident, Problem and Capacity management

Desired Skills

•    A self-starter that enjoys a challenge and working in an agile environment.
•    Someone who takes pride in their work and will complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
•    Someone who can interface with both technical and business teams including traders and quants.
•    Who will develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders to ensure that all system issues are resolved in timely manner and solutions implemented with the customer in mind.
•    Who enjoys seeing their work makes a difference.
•    Have good communication skills and can work effectively with colleagues located both onshore and offshore.
•    Work closely with developers, business and project managers from other teams or projects. 
•    Excellent consulting skills and negotiation skills
