The purpose of the Digital Sales Experience Tribe is to deliver great service to customers, through intelligent, integrated tools and processes. Customer will become advocates of the solutions they use.

In the Digital Sales Experience Tribe, our mission is to deliver great service to our customers. We develop and operate: -

• The ANZ Apply that runs on Google Cloud Platform and is used by customer across Australia.
• ANZ Apply consists of applications like ANZ.com, COLA, SBOLA, PLCC

What will your day look like

As an Engineer, your mission is to design, build, manage, and support technical assets and solutions that help ANZ Customers.

You will be responsible for:

• Demonstrating a thirst for better understanding the customer and define the problem and develop solutions through their eyes. You will build sustainable solutions that protect customers, stakeholders and the community
• Constructively challenge the status quo, look for better ways to do things and passionately advocate continuous improvement. You will be tackling complex problems and use critical thinking, your network, skills, knowledge, and available data to drive better outcomes for our customers and the bank

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• 4+ years’ Experience in React, Redux, typescript and other frontend technologies.
• Experience in any of backend tech like Golang, Java/J2EE with any framework like Spring, Struts.
• Experience in of any cloud platform preferably GCP
• Experience working in any one of Webserver NGNIX Server (Preferably), IIS Server, Apache tomcat etc
• Experience working in Atlassian and CI/CD tools such as Confluence, JIRA, GitHub/Bitbucket, Bamboo/Jenkins/CodeFresh, Artefactory.
• Experience working in one or more monitoring/alerting tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace
• Experience working in large enterprise & globally distributed systems and be able to work with operations and architecture groups developing scalable and supportable applications.
• Experience working in agile methodologies would be preferred.

Good to have skills:

Agility

• Strong agile fundamentals and past experience working in a pure agile / scaled agile delivery environment.
• Expertise in Jira and Confluence
• A good handle on production monitoring tools - for example Splunk, and able to analyse production issues as and when they are raised
• Ability to support squad(s) in successfully delivering agile releases through to production environments by taking accountability for the system stability, quality and feature completeness.

Interpersonal skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, ability to take a lead in workshops and drive meaningful outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to condense complex ideas and information into a language appropriate for the audience; 
• A ‘growth mindset’ and ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Strong willingness to work on challenging projects, keep ‘team player’ hat on, and deliver against firm timelines
