About the Role

ANZ New Zealand is creating a data hub in Bengaluru covering all the functions in data covering customer remediation, data warehousing, Business Intelligence and Analytics.

• As a Data Engineer, you will work with other data teams delivering business outcomes to build reusable data solutions and assets that drive efficiency and productivity. These solutions will deliver speed and agility enabling data analysts to advance and accelerate the delivery of timely customer outcomes. Overall approach is to simply, standardise and automate.
• Partnering and collaborating with business analysts and data analysts to develop technical solutions is a key focus for role
• Maintaining existing assets/solutions via debugging and finding the root cause of production issues
• This role requires deep understanding of data engineering, data analysis, reporting, and understanding of data automation techniques and workflows.
• The ideal candidate is a skilled data engineer with experience creating data products supporting analytic solutions. High level of SAS programming skill is essential. Wherescape Red knowledge would be advantageous.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• 5+ years of overall work experience
• Experience in SAS, SQL coding (development and analysis skills)
• Able to demonstrate a high regard for urgency and deadlines. Must be detail orientated and be strongly driven by quality
• Problem-solving and analytical mind-set, with a strong attention to detail
• Broad knowledge of Financial Service products and processes
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to collaborate with people at different levels
• Able to produce high quality, high output work
