About the Role
Data Quality Analyst
Role Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore
Role Type: Full-time Permanent, Manager Group 4.3
We are currently seeking a Data Quality Analyst within ANZ Institutional. This role is critical in providing extensive analysis across Institutional data, processes, and systems, and leading the resolution of data quality issues raised within the Division. You will collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders across the Division (business, operations, technology) and the Group (finance, risk, enterprise data, technology).
What will your day look like?
As a Data Quality Analyst, you will:

Identify, acquire, and analyze data to assess its quality, usefulness, and adequacy.

Identify areas of issues or weaknesses that need to be addressed.

Perform root cause analysis to understand the underlying problems.

Work with relevant stakeholders to develop solutions for remediation and prevention (business practices, systems, controls, risk management, etc.), ensuring data is fit for purpose.

Develop business cases, with guidance from the Data Quality Manager, to obtain funding for proposed solutions.

Collaborate with Technology and Business teams to implement agreed-upon solutions and business changes.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Minimum 7 years of experience as Data Analyst or Business Analyst preferably in data quality domain.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and investigate issues in detail.

Expertise in business analysis tasks, with experience in requirements gathering and elicitation techniques.

Hands-on experience with tools and techniques for analysis, data manipulation, and presentation (e.g., SQL).

In-depth understanding of regulatory, operational, and financial data analysis.

Strong customer focus and a desire to improve business processes.
-
Analytical mindset, always looking to uncover deeper insights and improve quality.

Ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.

High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Excellent communication skills, able to effectively engage with all stakeholders and translate technical concepts into non-technical terms.

Understanding of project management processes, lifecycle, and procedures.

Knowledge of Financial Crime and Group Tax systems, processes, or data is a plus.
