About the Role

This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day Operational Risk Environment for Trade Operations Team in BLR GCC.

The role includes performing Risk Management activities including Key Control Testing, KRI monitoring, Event Management, Risk Assessment, updating Operational Risk criteria on NFR Hub, extraction of various reports, preparation of Risk Forum packs and BC support.

Role Type: Permanent, Fulltime

What will your day look like?

  • Effectively support the business in minimising losses by realising opportunities via effective implementation of the risk management framework.

  • Enable the team to drive and invest in process design changes where necessary for continuous improvement through automation and improve productivity and efficiency.

  • Understand and analyse and perform root cause analysis for Events.

  • Provide key control testing on a timely basis and report the outcomes to senior stakeholders in the prescribed formats.

  • Stakeholder Management

  • To prioritise on Standardization, Simplification & Automation.

  • Monitor and update various Operational Risk criteria such as Key Risk Indicators and Treatment Plans.

  • Develop standard packs for identifying the control environment trend for the business.

  • Compile monthly reports for Risk Forum.

  • Perform extensive analysis using data extracted from various sources.

  • Graphical representation of operational risk data for senior stakeholders’ reviews and discussion.

  • Analyse the non-lending losses data, reconcile, and update any impacts for reportable events / events for write off relating to specific event described in the NLL Report on NFR Hub.

  • Build collaborative relationships and contribute to the development of a collaborative team environment.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Minimum 8 – 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of I.AM Framework and experience in managing Operational Risk

  • Experience and exposure to with thorough understanding of Risk & Compliance Management framework.

  • Transformation of existing data in a presentable format to achieve great outcomes.

  • Stakeholder Management and Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • To manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional manner.

  • To build strong, open, and collaborative working relationships.

  • Analytical skills with proven capabilities in research, problem solving, and attention to details.

  • To Lead and initiate the projects (Standardization, Simplification & Automation).

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Good to have skills:

  • Trade Operations Experience.

  • An ability to provide leadership and direction to indirect reports.

  • Experience in Confluence/Jira.

  • Exposure to NFR Hub, MS Excel, MS Power Point.
