About the Role
As a Business Analyst in the Tech Pacific Domain, you will play a key role in shaping and building a banking experience that delivers exceptional value to our customers.
- Use analytical and communication skills to gather, understand, validate, and document technology requirements for business issues, functions, and processes, from high-level needs to detailed technical solutions.
- Support solution delivery through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Work independently on medium-sized, high-complexity tasks; collaborate in a scrum environment on large, high-complexity initiatives; and lead analysis on medium-complexity projects.

What will your day look like?
- Lead the gathering of business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, project managers, and business stakeholders to define technical requirements.
- Create documentation, such as use cases, prototypes, and technical specifications.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and internal teams.
- Work in a cross-functional team, taking on various analyst roles and switching between business and technical tasks
What will you bring?
The ‘must have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:
- 5 years’ experience in a Business Analyst role.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation, requirements analysis, requirements management.
- Able to work effectively at a technical level of detail.
- The ability to understand and analyse technology problems and find solutions.
- The ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges.
- Experience in Agile and SDLC methods and techniques
- Experience in working as BA on medium-large scope and high complexity enhancement or project initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills - written and oral.
- Self-motivated and self-managing and ability to work independently.
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in facilitating workshops using formal methodologies, involving multiple parties with independent objectives.
Detailed Description
‘Good to have’ knowledge, skills and experiences
- The ‘good to have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:
- Experience in a Card Switching business & technical landscape.
- Experience in financial transaction processing systems.
- Experience in the New Zealand Payment Industry
- Experience with understanding and writing basic SQL (Structured Query Language)
