About the Role
As a Business Analyst in our Observability and Monitoring team, you’ll play a key role in helping to in guiding our team through a shift from a traditional requirement gathering approach to a more consultative, solution-driven methodology. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in both business analysis and consultation, with a strong ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to identify business requirements, propose scalable solutions, and help drive the team's adoption of a consultative approach to monitoring and observability.

What will your day look like?

Consultation & Stakeholder Management:
-
Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, pain points, and opportunities within the Observability and Monitoring space.

Act as a trusted advisor and consultant, proposing solutions that align with business goals and technical capabilities.

Business Requirements Analysis:
-
Work closely with both technical and non-technical teams to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals and objectives.

Analyze and prioritize business requirements, ensuring they align with strategic objectives.

Solution Design & Optimization:
-
Assist in designing solutions that meet both business and technical requirements, focusing on optimizing observability and monitoring strategies.

Support the design and implementation of best practices for monitoring, alerting, and incident management within the organization.

Process Improvement & Methodology Shift:
-
Guide the team in shifting from traditional requirements gathering to a more collaborative, consultative approach.

Provide expertise on consultative methodologies such as user-centered design, solution discovery, and agile processes.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team by refining and adapting the consultation process to better meet team and business needs.

Documentation & Reporting:

Create clear and concise documentation for all phases of the project, ensuring transparency and alignment with stakeholders.

Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, challenges, and recommendations.

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
-
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an Observability, Monitoring, or similar technology domain.

Strong expertise in consultation skills, with a focus on guiding teams through process changes, especially transitioning from traditional approaches to consultative methodologies.

Hands-on experience with Observability tools and monitoring frameworks (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.) is a plus.

Deep understanding of business analysis techniques and best practices, including stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and process optimization.

Experience in Agile, Scrum, or other iterative methodologies is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
