About the Role

 

As a BI Analyst in Enterprise Business Intelligence, you will analyse large, cross‑functional datasets to generate insights that improve business performance and decision‑making. You will identify trends, detect anomalies, assess customer and financial impacts, and support data‑driven recommendations across products and enterprise processes.

 

Your role covers the full BI lifecycle—gathering requirements, defining KPIs, performing analysis, building dashboards and reports, and documenting analytical methods. You will ensure data accuracy, support governance standards, and contribute to a scalable enterprise reporting environment. Working in an Agile setup, you will partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, product teams, and SMEs to design analytical approaches and deliver impactful BI solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer outcomes.

What will your day look like?

As a BI Analyst , your key accountabilities will include: 

  • Support the end‑to‑end BI lifecycle by gathering requirements and designing, developing, and delivering enterprise‑wide analytical and reporting solutions that enable performance insights and issue investigation.
  • Ensure the organisation has high‑quality, reusable, and well‑governed data assets that support accurate, consistent, and scalable enterprise analysis and decision‑making.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships so the BI and Analytics function is viewed as a trusted partner across business, product, engineering, operations, and risk.
  • Strengthen BI capabilities by developing deep skills in SQL, SAS, data modelling, dashboarding, visualization, and analytical investigation frameworks.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, and improvement to enhance the team’s analytical depth and innovation.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across data quality, reporting workflows, and enterprise monitoring processes.
  • Apply strong analytical problem‑solving to detect anomalies, assess business and customer impacts, and support issue resolution and performance enhancement.
  • Communicate insights clearly and deliver accurate, timely, and well‑documented analytical outputs within an Agile delivery framework.

What will you bring?

 

The ‘must have’ knowledge, skill, and experience (KSE) the role requires are:

  • 1+ years of strong SQL and SAS experience for enterprise data extraction, transformation, quality checks, and development of scalable analytical workflows.
  • Hands‑on experience with BI and visualisation tools such as Tableau (Preferred), Power BI, and Qlik for building dashboards, analysing trends, and supporting data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Proven ability to translate business problems and requirements into structured logic, data models, and analytical frameworks that support enterprise reporting and insights.
  • Solid understanding of financial‑services processes, product behaviours, customer journeys, and operational data flows relevant to enterprise analytics.
  • Experience delivering end‑to‑end BI/analytics solutions, including data sourcing, validation, KPI design, logic build, testing, and insight generation.
  • Ability to communicate clear, actionable insights, simplifying complex analytical findings for business, product, engineering, risk, and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and collaboration skills with experience working in cross‑functional, Agile teams.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, curiosity to learn, and consistent delivery of accurate, high‑quality analytical outputs with attention to detail.

The ‘good to have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:

  • Working knowledge of Python for advanced analysis and automation.
  • Experience with Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
  • Comfortable working with large‑scale enterprise/product datasets.
  • Understanding of BI, analytics, product lifecycle, and performance frameworks.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Ability to build automated BI dashboards and monitoring solutions.
  • Knowledge of data modelling, lineage, and metadata management.
  • Awareness of financial‑services regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with APIs, containerisation, automation, and CI/CD is advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements‑gathering capability.
