About the Role
As an Assurance Analyst in our Technology Assurance and Controls Services team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that risks associated with change and day-to-day operations are owned, understood and managed appropriately.

What will your day look like?
As an Assurance Analyst, you will:
- Support Technology Domains to provide assurance of risks, controls, treatments, events, operational / delivered risk assessments and audit items.
- Contribute to the delivery of insights, trends, and recommendations in relation to how risks are being identified, assessed and treated.
- Take on risk / compliance related initiatives and drive them to completion.
- Use your strong communication and presentation skills to connect with stakeholders across Group Technology
- Support the Technology domains and their operations teams in the continuous improvement of their risk management in line with our Risk Management Framework
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience in financial services, or a large corporate environment, preferably in a risk related role (e.g. risk, assurance, audit or compliance).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications relating to Information Technology
- An understanding of technology operational risks, such as ALM, resilience, security, vendor management
- A thirst for learning about risk management in a large financial services organisation
- An understanding of risk principals and frameworks
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of the regulatory environment and potential impacts
- Ability to build strong and influential relationships across business and technology areas.
- Good knowledge of Operational Risk Frameworks, Regulatory Requirements, Delivery Standards and Controls Framework, Technology Industry Standards
- A growth mindset - highly motivated by continuous improvement and seeking new ways to align processes, systems and culture to uplift and accelerate performance.
- Curiosity - continuously seeking to understand industry trends and best practices that our people can use to manage risk actively and effectively within Technology.
