About the Role
At Associate Director level, the role is responsible for the identification, assessment, management, monitoring and reporting of material non-financial risks across the end-to-end product, platform and client lifecycle. The incumbent will help strengthen the control environment for Transaction Banking products and digital capabilities, support product design and change execution, contribute to client implementation and delivery risk management, regulatory readiness and incident learnings, and escalate material matters as appropriate.
This role is responsible for helping manage non-financial risk across Transaction Banking products, including Payments and Cash Management, Trade and Digital Payments. The role acts as a trusted risk partner to product, sales, implementation, operations, technology and digital delivery stakeholders, providing practical risk advice and execution support to enable safe, sustainable and customer-focused growth.

What will your day look like?
As an Associate Director Institutional NFR GCC Transaction Banking, you will:
- Act as a trusted non-financial risk partner to Transaction Banking product and digital businesses, providing practical guidance on product strategy, client solutions, commercialisation, platform delivery and change initiatives
- Provide analysis, advice and constructive challenge on product and digital risk profiles, control effectiveness, customer outcomes and risk in change across Payments and Cash Management, Trade, Digital Payments, client channels, connectivity solutions and related Transaction Banking capabilities
- Support the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of material non-financial risks across the end-to-end Transaction Banking product and platform lifecycle, including operational, compliance, technology, cyber, data, fraud, third-party, conduct, financial crime and resilience risks
- Contribute to uplift in product, platform and channel controls, risk indicators, governance, documentation and management information to strengthen transparency, ownership and control effectiveness
- Support quality and timely completion of risk assessments, control assurance, issues management, incident response and remediation activities relevant to Transaction Banking products, platforms and digital capabilities
- Provide risk input and execution support for new product development, product enhancements, platform changes, digital payment capabilities, client implementations, trade and cash management solutions and strategic initiatives impacting Transaction Banking
- Support strong product and digital governance through quality forum papers, issue transparency, escalation and decision support for relevant stakeholders
- Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, Digital, Implementation, Compliance, Legal, Financial Crime, 2LOD Risk and Internal Audit stakeholders to support aligned and effective non-financial risk outcomes
- Help embed strong first-line risk ownership and awareness across Transaction Banking product and digital teams by promoting practical, customer-focused and commercially aware risk management
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Strong experience in transaction banking, with sound understanding of Payments and Cash Management, Trade and/or Digital Payments products, platforms, client journeys, servicing models and the end-to-end product lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of non-financial risk management within a large and complex financial services environment, including governance, risk assessment, controls, issues and incident management, risk reporting and risk in change
- Demonstrated knowledge of key risk exposures relevant to Transaction Banking products and digital channels, including operational resilience, technology and cyber dependencies, data, fraud, third-party risk, financial crime, conduct risk, regulatory compliance and customer outcome risks.
- Demonstrated ability to provide credible advice and constructive challenge to product, digital, operations and technology stakeholders on product risk, platform controls, control design and risk in change, escalating material matters where appropriate
- Experience supporting new product approvals, product changes, digital platform enhancements, client implementation risk assessments and governance processes in a controlled banking environment

Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across business and control teams, simplify complex risk matters, and provide clear recommendations that support effective and sustainable risk outcomes
- Knowledge of domestic and cross-border payment rails, cash management structures, trade finance products, digital payment capabilities, client connectivity solutions, APIs and emerging payment industry standards

Knowledge of digital risk and control frameworks, payment security, fraud prevention, operational resilience, and regulatory requirements, with experience supporting audit, compliance, and non-financial risk management activities within banking and Transaction Banking environments
- Experience using risk data and governance reporting to identify emerging risks, support decision-making, and drive timely actions
- Exposure to global Transaction Banking environments and familiarity with risk systems, governance frameworks, and control improvement initiative
