About the Role
As a Technology Continuity Analyst in Tech Pacific Domain, you will bring good organisational skills, excellent data analysis and analytics, solid technical knowledge and a strong understanding of Resilience disciplines to the NZ Disaster Recovery Squad. You will work to ensure all ANZ applications and Technology functions are prepared to provide service, with minimum disruption, even under extreme conditions. As part of the Disaster Recovery squad you will govern Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity compliance and other Technology Continuity processes for all of ANZ’s Technology Assets & Functions, keep critical repositories up to date, and assist with planning, executing and reporting on resiliency capabilities throughout the year.

What will your day look like?
- Working closely with a small, specialised team to provide management, coordination and assurance of the recoverability, and to identify risks to this capability, for all ANZ IT assets and Technology functions.
- Establishing and maintaining a good relationship with system and function owners educating and enabling them to understand and meet agreed performance levels for service continuity and availability.
- Enabling system owners to maintain up to date documentation and document registries for all ANZ IT assets and Technology functions.
- Maintaining information databases and repositories for multiple resiliency disciplines including Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity with scope to expand governance into other technology continuity processes.
- Ensuring the currency and accuracy of compliance reporting for all ANZ IT assets and Technology functions.
- Ensuring appropriate forward planning based on service continuity and availability standards.
- Understanding Technology team functions and structures.
- Ensuring customer needs and requirements are met within service level agreements.
- Understanding infrastructure and application operational requirements.
- Identifying deficiencies in existing process and/or opportunities to improve existing processes for efficiency gains.
- Helping to ensure that new services and changes to services will be deliverable and manageable according to agreed continuity and availability.
- Building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What will you bring?
The ‘must have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:
- A good understanding of the internal and external requirements for Disaster Recovery of IT systems and Business Continuity in order to ensure the Disaster Recovery strategy meets ANZ regulatory and compliance requirements, and enables the business to meet resiliency and recovery requirements.
- Great communication and coaching capabilities to ensure system and function owners are aware of their accountabilities and how to fulfill compliance requirements for resilience disciplines that apply to them.
- A good ‘all-round’ technical background to ensure you can provide guidance and expertise on ‘best practices’ for how to build, manage and plan for disasters would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Experience working in an ITSM environment, with awareness of ITIL v3 Foundations, ITIL v3 practitioner certifications or similar/higher qualifications.
- The ability to develop relationships with a diverse range of client stakeholders.

The ‘good to have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:
- Knowledge of how cloud technology works and interacts with traditional technology
- Knowledge of Back Up service provider (BSP) processes and tools
- Understanding and certification in current ITIL fundamentals
- Apply change management practices and continue to improve approach based on feedback loops
- Proactively identifies and assesses risks and comply with risk management processes and policies to Demonstrates practicality in balancing risk and efficiency while looking for innovative solutions to new and existing tasks.
- Comprehensive understanding of the domain/segment, its customers and the related business drivers in the context of the desired outcomes.
- Practised Agile and Kanban methodology
- Knowledge of tools (Tech Connect) and frameworks that can enhance solutioning
