About the role

As an Accessibility Testing Lead, you will lead and manage an uplift of Accessibility Testing (Quality Engineering) from entirely manual testing to fully automated and implementation to CI/CD pipelines across all of Group Tech Domains accountable for internally staff facing systems.  This will be achieved via a new Accessibility Testing tool to ANZ called Microsoft Accessibility Insights.

 

You will align to Group Tech Strategy of Simplification.  To also align with Architecture & Engineering direction to uplift automation, cost savings through efficiencies of repeatable automation, increased coverage/quality to production with better speed to market.

What will your day look like

This role is accountable for:

  • Overall approach / strategy and planning to uplift Accessibility Quality Engineering and execution thereof
  • Strong collaboration with Tech Area Leads, Product Owners, Engineering Chapter Leads & Engineers as with the PO Functional Testing within Engineering & Platforms
  • Internal plans implement and align to JIRA including JIRA Portfolio
  • Provide advice, consultancy, training, direction to Domains in the use of the tool and automation frameworks and inclusion within CI/CD pipeline
  • Quick take up of Domains needs including in-depth end user patterns, use cases and systems under test
  • Provide industry based and WCAG 2.1 Accessibility Assessments to Domains with as required remediation including engineering solutions.
  • Reporting to PO Functional Testing including risk and issues management
  • Run workshops/s meetings with Tech Delivery Teams to identify opportunities/problems, actions, outcomes and benefits.
  • Document collateral in line with solutions to be made available to Tech Delivery Teams e.g. how to guides enabling Self Service.

What will you bring?

The ‘must have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:

  • Strategic approach to uplift of automation and planning
  • Strong skills in accessibility testing using JAWS, NVDA, Microsoft Accessibility Insights, Colour Contrast Analyser, Talkback
  • Good working knowledge of Narrator, HTML code sniffer, Voice Over, Deque-Axe, Devops
  • Strong and in dept knowledge of WCAG 2.1 & WIA-ARIA
  • Design skills for Accessibility
  • Experience with JIRA and Xray
  • Running workshops for group agreed outcomes and influencing
