About the Role

 


Teaming up with a supportive Relationship Manager on a predominantly Agribusiness portfolio, you’ll build trusted relationships with passionate owners of small and medium sized enterprises. You’ll help drive growth through acquisition, increasing share of wallet and referrals. And you’ll have great insights and data to help you do this, thanks to investment in new systems and technologies.

 

This role leads to many career pathways within commercial banking and across the rest of ANZ. Whichever pathway is right for you, there are inspiring leaders and tailored learning opportunities to give you the skills and accreditation you need to go after it.

 

This is a great opportunity for people looking to take the next step in their business banking career. It would also suit people who have extensive agribusiness experience or financial services experience who are familiar with risk management concepts and regulatory requirements such as Know your Customer and AML (anti- money laundering).

What will your day look like?


 Working with your Relationship Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of customers by: 

•     Support our Relationship Managers in making banking easier for customers, providing customer solutions, and insights,
•     Conduct financial analysis and develop and implement appropriate customer strategies,
•     Establish and maintain a professional profile in the market and maintain an understanding of the customer’s industry and associated markets,
•     Work collaboratively with other internal work functions and stakeholders, and
•     Demonstrate living the ANZ Values with customers and colleagues.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Great financial literacy, analytical skills, commercial and business acumen,
• Strong analytical ability to assess and interpret implications of financial trends,
• Prior experience in developing strong relationships in a customer delivery/ customer experience role,
• Sound understanding of the structuring of security arrangements,
• Experience in the banking industry is an advantage, but not a requirement, and
• Preferably possesses an accounting or finance degree or equivalent, though not a strict requirement.
