About the Role

 

The role will support the delivery of a superior client Service experience for the Institutional clients including Global & Institutional Banking client base.

 

The key responsible area for the role is in liaising with the customer for onboarding documentation, coordinating and tracking the onboarding cases whilst delivering service excellence and client satisfaction.

 

It is expected that the incumbent will be the key client contact person for onboarding related issues with a preferred background in compliance or KYC and be able to evaluate and make recommendations on the suitability of a customer for onboarding in terms of AML risk to the bank. 

 

The position is further required to be an integral component of any AML/Sanctions/CTF projects/programmes business operations, working with all facets of the business in achieving its purpose and business objectives. The incumbent must be able to initiate, recommend and support any risk based solutions to achieve well managed, sustainable and compliant outcomes.

 

This will be achieved by regular engagement of the key stakeholders both within and external to ANZ.

 

Additionally, this individual will also need to maintain collaborative relationships with key local stakeholders, including Relationship Management, Operations, Implementation, Product, Compliance, Legal and other business partners to ensure a complete end to end service proposition is delivered

What will your day look like?

 


As a Specialist Client engagement, KYC you are accountable for:

  • Management & monitoring of the on-boarding request (KYC, A/C Opening , Channel), Maintenance and OCDD requests.
  • Execution‑focused role responsible for day‑to‑day handling of individual client cases
  • Ensures timely completion of onboarding, OCDD, and maintenance requests
  • Direct engagement with clients for on-boarding and OCDD related client education & documents/forms collection 
  • Co-ordination of all required escalations/approvals/deferrals (e.g. exceptions, legal & compliance, etc.)
  • Validating client information & documentation is in accordance to ANZ Compliance requirements including identification of any red flags
  • Internal co-ordination with Operation teams for completion & issuance of product documentation for multi-product New to Bank on-boarding deals and OCDD reviews.
  • Co-ordination of product documentation with clients & follow up with them for signed documents during the on-boarding deal
  • To get involved in and coordinate with sales on product related issues, requests and discussion
  • Co-ordination with clients for any Account maintenance requests 
  • Co-ordination with clients for periodic update of KYC docs 
  • Support Audit Confirmation request and follow up
  • Resource planning, workload management, and productivity tracking
  • Driving process improvements, automation adoption, and risk reduction
  • Oversight and responsible for team performance, controls, and delivery outcomes

• Frontline or operations / customer onboarding experience 
• Strong administrative skills, and attention to detail 
• Excellent relationship building and network skills - the ability to deal with management at all levels
• Exposure to Transactive, Merchant, BPAY, Direct Debit, KYC, Commercial Cards, IB4B
• Attention to detail and focus on production and customer is essential
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills
