About the Role

 

This role focuses on Quality Assurance (QA) for Correspondent Banking (CB) KYC operations. As a QA Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that KYC activities are accurate, compliant, and aligned with regulatory and internal standards.

 

Quality Assurance plays a critical role in delivering high-quality outcomes by leading QA activities and working closely with cross-functional teams. This role is accountable for driving quality enhancements, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

What will your day look like?

 

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Correspondent Banking (CB) KYC operations. You will apply strong AML and Correspondent Banking knowledge to lead QA activities, uplift quality, and drive continuous improvement across the team.

 

You will identify and implement process improvements, strengthen controls, and foster a culture of transparency and continuous learning. You will also support and mentor junior QA/QC team members to build capability and ensure consistent quality across all reviews.

 

In this role, you will manage escalated CB enquiries, deliver tasks within SLAs, and collaborate closely with the CB KYC team to enhance product quality and embed best practices. You will conduct root cause analysis, recommend corrective actions, and support the development and execution of test plans and QA methodologies.

 

You will ensure compliance with AML/CTF/PF and Sanctions policies, and meet all Governance, Risk, and Control requirements. You will support BG&C with control testing and assist Internal and External Audit when required. Additionally, you will drive innovation, simplify processes, and manage reporting and escalations across the function.

 

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Advanced AML/CTF and Correspondent Banking (CB) KYC expertise, including strong experience in financial crime, investigations, and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesise data from multiple sources and produce clear insights, reporting, and action plans.
  • Proven experience managing escalations and influencing diverse stakeholders, with strong communication skills and the ability to guide junior team members.
  • Operations Management experience (minimum 24 months preferred), with the ability to maintain BAU delivery in challenging situations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience in strategic thinking and business acumen, including planning, prioritisation, and understanding impacts of change across services.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to increase internal networking and support process/policy adherence across teams.
