The purpose of the Payments Technology Domain is to transform Payments by fortifying existing platforms, simplifying, and standardising processes and technology and by enabling our business through reusable end-to-end services.
As the Release Lead, you are responsible for building & uplifting the release management capability to convert business initiatives into cross-platform releases of new technology features or enhancements and ensure customer value is delivered as quickly as possible across the Payments Technology Domain. Influence squads to transform release processes to improve delivery and help manage inter-Tech Area and Cross Domain dependencies. Whilst this role may not be a people manager, it is a key role, galvanising the delivery squads around a vision and supporting them to successfully deliver customer value at pace. You will be a member of the PRESS – Release Management CoE. As a member, you will share ideas and knowledge and partner with your Chapter to uplift the capability of the chapter.

Role Type : Permanent, Full-time (42.5 hours per week)
What will your day look like
• Develop and present complex cadence release schedule and dependency plans which meet successful release criteria
• Engage and work with key enablers like Integration Service, Risk & Assurance, Enterprise Data Governance and ADF enablers
• Work with multiple cross geography delivery squads, Performance Area Leads & Architects to implement the solutions that map to release value
• Track delivery squads and dependency partners aligning to cadence release milestones
• Review on delivery squads adhering to mandatory quality standards, follow-up & escalate if needed
• Prepare complex implementation runbook, schedule run-book walk-through session with squads & delivery partners and finalize the runbook
• Co-ordinate & manage production change implementations on core platform applications and infrastructure upgrades
• Co-ordinate & manage post implementation incidents. Schedule & run PIR session after each release, documenting learning and actions items
• Experience on implementing changes on Cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure is desirable
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Strong Agile delivery experience such as Scrum, Kanban and experience in using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Good knowledge and understanding on Payments value chain
• Good understanding and application of ANZ Delivery Framework (ADF) process and enabler engagement process
• Proven analytical skills and evidence-based decision making
• Ability to ask for and give feedback
• Proven ability to innovate and adapt to latest development in area of expertise
• Soft Skills – A team player, A collaboration champion, A Continuous improvement champion and A problem solver.
• Some experience with delivery on Cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS and Azure
• Certification in PM frameworks, Agile. Sound knowledge of Scrum and iterative release delivery would be an added advantage
