About the Role
As a Data Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of client-related data. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining efficient data management processes and systems across multiple platforms, allowing our team to provide superior client onboarding experince and make informed decisions based on accurate and up-to-date information. The role is required to understand areas of improvement and challenges with current processes across operations and provide solutions to automate/enable self-service for our clients. You will seek to understand the underlying needs and objectives of business stakeholders, conduct in-depth analysis, identify opportunities for process and service improvement, and translate this to actionable items for implementation.

What will your day look like?

Data Governance and Strategy: Develop and implement data management strategies and policies aligned to our client onboarding & KYC ambitions and industry best practices to enhance the client onboarding experience and ensure data quality, integrity, security consistency, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Data Quality Assurance: Implement robust data quality control measures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data used for client onboarding & KYC activities.

Data Collection: Oversee the collection and integration of data from various sources to create a unified and consistent data repository.

Data Integration and Migration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth data integration and migration processes when onboarding new clients, implementing system upgrades / process changes.

Data Quality Management: Implement processes to assess, monitor, and improve data quality, identifying and rectifying data discrepancies or inconsistencies.

Database Management: Oversee the collection, storage, organisation, and retrieval of client data, ensuring accuracy, security, and confidentiality throughout the data lifecycle.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Use data analysis tools to provide valuable insights from client data to enable data-driven decisions and actionable recommendations.

Data Privacy and Security: Maintain strict data privacy protocols and security measures to protect sensitive information from unauthorised access or breaches.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage data management specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to ensure efficient and effective data operations.

Data Compliance: Stay updated on industry best practices, data-related regulations, and compliance requirements, ensuring compliance to data-related laws.

Stakeholder Communication: Communicate data-related insights and recommendations to various stakeholders, promoting data literacy and data-driven decision-making across departments.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in data management or a related role, with 3+ years of experience in team leadership or management.
- Proven data and analytics experience with sound commercial acumen and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of design and hands on development experience of ETL pipelines.
- Experience in any BI reporting tool (preferably Qlik Sense or Tableau)
- Demonstrated experience with advanced SQL scripting and Python is a must. Experience in data analysis and visualization tools like Knime, R, Alteryx, Power BI etc is an added advantage.
- ML/AI experience within Financial Services sector preferably Banking is an added advantage. .
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and data security protocols.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and database management systems.
- Knowledge of relevant data privacy regulations and industry best practices.
- Certifications in data management, data governance, or related areas.
- Familiar with Goldtier,or any equivalent KYC systems
