About the Role

As an analyst in our Engineering, Tooling & Data Services team, you will support data-related services for technology including data analytics, data management, support audit procedures, reporting and compliance and risk management.

What will your day look like?

• Empathetic and supportive as a senior team member, focused on empowering and selflessly growing the knowledge and skills of other team member

• Plans work across program increments and engages with other team members to align and manage interdependencies.

• Improving the collective knowledge of leadership team for better decision-making.

• Develop clear guidelines with practical implementation to streamline processes with minimal complexity and maximum efficiency to applicable policies and standards.

• Provide guidance and process training to Data Owners and Data Stewards to assist them in meeting the duties of their role effectively, whilst also ensuring that data has adequate Ownership and Stewardship throughout its governed life cycle.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Demonstrated knowledge of data governance, data quality and data management practices including data-related regulatory requirements.

• Good understanding of data architecture and conceptual data lineage and data visualisation. 

• Strong analytical, numerical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.

• Good business analysis skills, including elicitation techniques and the ability to define requirements in complex and challenging environments.

• Be courageous to deal with complexity and transform into simple solutions.

• A passion and curiosity for data and its consumers.

• Ability to explore customer needs in a data-driven way, develop and implement innovative solutions, evaluate the outcomes, and iterate.

• An end-to-end understanding of the customer journeys involved in uplifting data governance at ANZ.

• Good discovery, design, and reliable execution skills, to provide the support our customers most need.

• Effective communication skills.

• Support senior team members in the facilitation of stakeholder meetings and workshops.

• Ability to work in a challenging space that requires genuine collaborative and positive working relationships.

• Consistently high quality and reliable execution

• Good working knowledge of ANZ’s Enterprise Data Governance and I.AM Framework

• Experience with data governance, business glossary, analytics, data pipelines will be seen to be an advantage.

• Experience using Enterprise Metadata Repository (EMR) or Alex
