About the Role
The Associate Manager – Retail BPS will play a critical role in delivering data‑driven credit risk insights and reporting for the Retail Banking portfolio. This is a high‑visibility role partnering closely with Risk, Business, and Technology stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data and reporting solutions, while supporting the bank’s data, reporting, and analytics transformation journey.
The role requires a strong blend of retail credit risk domain knowledge, advanced data skills, and confident stakeholder communication to enable informed decision‑making and effective risk governance.

What will your day look like?
As an Associate Manager, you will:
- Deliver timely, high-quality retail credit risk reporting and insights to support portfolio monitoring, risk governance, and informed decision-making.
- Perform deep-dive analysis on portfolio performance, key risk drivers, and emerging risk trends, translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Analyse and validate complex risk data assets, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and business relevance.
- Partner closely with Retail Risk, Business, and Senior Leadership to understand requirements and design fit-for-purpose reporting and analytical solutions.
- Proactively engage stakeholders to scope, prioritise, and deliver reporting builds, enhancements, and changes, balancing business demand with enterprise data and risk information strategy.
- Communicate analytical outcomes in a clear, concise, and impactful manner, including presentations to senior management.
- Use Google Cloud Platform (GCP), SQL, SAS, and Python to extract, analyse, and validate large datasets used for risk reporting and insights.
- Design, enhance, and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualisations that enable intuitive and actionable consumption of risk information.
- Support the transition to next-generation data and analytics platforms, contributing to simplification, standardisation, and automation of reporting processes.
- Act as a change advocate, driving adoption of modern analytics, cloud-based data assets, and visualisation tools.
- Ensure reporting solutions comply with risk governance, data quality, and control standards.
- Manage multiple concurrent deliverables, prioritising competing demands in a risk-based and outcome-focused manner.
Contribute to continuous improvement of Retail BPS operating models, documentation, and ways of working.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

5–8 years’ experience in Retail Banking and/or Credit Risk, with hands-on delivery experience across risk reporting, portfolio analytics, and/or data and reporting transformation initiatives.

Strong technical capability across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), SQL, SAS, and Python, with proven experience extracting, analysing, and validating large-scale risk data assets.

Applied AI / Advanced Analytics exposure, including identifying, assessing, or supporting AI/ML use cases that improve risk insight quality, reporting efficiency, or decision-making effectiveness.

Proven experience operating as a Business Analyst, Risk Analyst, or Analytics professional, supporting retail or credit risk portfolios in a complex stakeholder environment.

Sound to advanced understanding of retail credit risk fundamentals, including portfolio performance, delinquency and arrears metrics, provisioning, and key risk drivers.

Formal qualification or certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP) or equivalent practical experience.

Exposure to risk data governance, BI modernisation, and/or regulatory reporting frameworks is highly regarded.
