Mō te tūranga - About the role

 

As a Senior Manager NFR in Regulatory Relations, you’ll hold a deep expertise in relation to the regulatory and legislative processes of New Zealand, and the banking and financial services sector of New Zealand.

This role is responsible for managing and coordinating the organisation’s responses to key regulatory change consultations, both industry wide and ANZ specific, and supporting the formulation of our regulatory strategy and engagement models for working with the regulators.

As a Senior Manager NFR - Regulatory Relations, you will:

 

  • Assist development and maintenance of regulatory change processes to ensure that the way ANZ Aotearoa responds to and influences regulatory change is complete and appropriate
  • Assist development and maintenance of regulatory engagement models to ensure effective and efficient regulatory communication.
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to forums, committees, and workgroups in respect of regulatory change relevant to ANZ Aotearoa.
  • Developing relationships with external bodies such as regulators and other government agencies and working with them to represent ANZ Aotearoa’s views in respect of regulatory change initiatives.
  • Contribute to and foster collaborative relationship to enable business and non-financial risk objectives to be achieved
  • Contribute to the provision of secure, compliant, efficient, cost-effective and value-adding non-financial risk services

  • Experience providing expert advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on regulatory matters
  • Diverse banking experience demonstrating a sound knowledge and understanding of how ANZ operates 
  • Able to use initiative - be proactive by taking action and be relentless and resilient in addressing issues. 
  • Able to build strong, open and collaborative working relationships, ability to liaise with and influence internal stakeholders. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional manner.
