As a Senior Manager Insurance in Personal Banking, you’ll play a key role in our mission to deliver outstanding insurance propositions that meet more customer needs and enhance their financial wellbeing.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? – What will your day look like?
You’ll be leading ANZ’s insurance strategy and managing key relationships to deliver customer-focused insurance solutions that meet customer needs and drive growth. Your day will involve collaborating with partners, shaping product strategy, and ensuring compliance across the insurance portfolio.
- Develop and implement customer and product strategies, working with stakeholders to ensure suitability and value for customers.
- Manage relationships with third-party insurers (Vero and Chubb) from both an operational and strategic perspective, monitoring performance and driving improvements.
- Oversee financial health and sustainability of the insurance portfolio, contributing to budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Ensure compliance and risk management, ensuring we deliver solutions to a high standard and compliant with ANZ frameworks and policies, all while driving process simplification and customer-focused improvements.
- Build a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation by bringing together and both directly and indirectly leading teams of people to deliver

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience in the insurance industry, with strong knowledge of insurance products and customer needs.
- Proven relationship management skills, particularly in managing external partnerships and driving collaborative outcomes.
- Ability to lead and influence, including experience guiding small teams and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across internal teams and external partners.
- Strategic thinking and commercial acumen to shape product propositions and deliver customer-focused solutions.
- A proactive approach to risk management and compliance, ensuring alignment with industry standards and ANZ frameworks.
