This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established team that is redefining how we connect with our customers. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering insight-driven propositions for key segments, creating offerings that truly resonate and add value. In this role, you will take ownership of a defined customer segment, leading the development of a segment strategy and a compelling customer proposition that drives market share, delivers strong commercial outcomes, deepens engagement, and supports customers throughout their lifecycle.

 

You’ll partner closely across the Customer Proposition and Personal Leadership Teams to ensure every proposition is distinctive, compelling, and grounded in customer insights. Your work will influence how ANZ shapes experiences, builds loyalty, and creates meaningful connections with customers.

The Segment Proposition Manager role is a dynamic and impactful role with a broad range of responsibilities. Some of your day-to-day activities may include the below:

 

  • Define and evolve segment strategies and customer propositions that align with commercial goals and deliver real value to customers.
  • Create compelling propositions for your segment, from concept to delivery, ensuring clear KPIs and measurable impact.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams to prioritise initiatives and achieve segment-led outcomes that make a difference.
  • Partner with Personal teams to shape product offerings informed by deep segment insights and analytics.
  • Work with Customer Lifecycle Management to embed propositions into programs that drive engagement, progression, and retention.
  • Take propositions to market with Brand & Marketing, ensuring they resonate with customers and deliver strong commercial results.
  • Champion collaboration and innovation across business units while managing risks and optimising processes for success.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Proven ability to define and lead segment strategies and customer propositions that balance commercial goals with customer needs.
  • Experience delivering integrated strategies across customer, product, marketing, pricing, and technology domains, with strong commercial acumen.
  • Skilled at leveraging data, analytics, and insights to inform decisions, solve problems, and drive performance.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence outcomes in complex, matrix environments, while coaching and developing talent.
  • Track record of leading teams to design and deliver innovative propositions that drive revenue growth and improve margins.
  • Expertise in managing the full proposition lifecycle—ideation, design, testing, launch, and compliance—while optimising processes and mitigating risk.
  • Deep knowledge of retail banking products and customer segments, with experience in business case development and managing third-party partnerships.
