Mō te tūranga - About the role
This is a newly created role in the New Zealand & Pacific Procurement team. In your role as Sourcing Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end sourcing initiatives, with a key focus on category of Property/Workplace and business services across ANZ New Zealand and our Pacific Island entities.
You will develop and deliver sourcing strategies aligned with category plans, drive commercial value and innovation, and manage risks while in line with compliance requirements.
The Role reports into the Category Lead for Business & Professional Services, and will be exposed and support across a wide range of procurement and business initiatives supporting to deliver the wider ANZ business strategy.

In this dynamic and impactful role you will cover a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Close collaboration with Category Managers, key stakeholders and suppliers to build a strong pipeline of sourcing opportunities and to become a go-to expert for sourcing and commercial advice.
- Deliver end-to-end sourcing for goods and services, balancing cost, quality, and business needs in line with category strategy.
- Lead commercial negotiations with integrity, focusing on value creation and proactive risk management.Draft and finalise contracts in partnership with Legal and Category teams, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Drive market and supplier analysis, price benchmarking, and due diligence to shape sourcing strategies and unlock opportunities.
- Build a trusted network of stakeholders in New Zealand and the Pacific to deliver meaningful outcomes for the organisation.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience in Property and Workplace sourcing & vendor performance management – please not the role is not responsible for day today Facilities management.
- Strong general understanding for property projects including life-cycle dependant planning and commercial models pursuant to renovation and construction.
- Experience in non-technology sourcing including professional services/business services.
- Sharp commercial acumen with the ability to analyse costs, risk trade-offs and to make smart, informed and strategic decisions.
- Experience in negotiating and delivering strong commercial outcomes and value for the business.
- Ability to problem-solve and navigate complex, ambiguous situations with confidence and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, manage stakeholders, and build trusted relationships across the organisation and across the APAC Region
- Good understanding of risk management and the right control options to ensure compliance and protect the business.
- Understanding of the full procurement lifecycle – from strategy and sourcing through to contracting, supplier relationship management, and requisition-to-pay processes.
Preferred not essential:
- Track record working on capital projects in or for corporate clients – preferred not essential
- Experience working with BS11 or similar regulatory frameworks is preferred
