Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Procurement Planning & Compliance Specialist within ANZ’s Procurement function, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that the procurement function is partnering with the business to ensure a forward pipeline of demand and compliance obligations for our third-party engagements & contracts across New Zealand.
The role reports into our Procurement Operations & Excellence Lead – New Zealand.
This role is a key enabler of value realisation and risk mitigation through the delivery of reporting on category performance, cost optimisation and financial modelling. You’ll play a key role in ensuring proactive compliance with regulatory requirements, by maintaining accurate contract tracking and data, reporting, and adherence to governance processes. This role involves planning and prioritising work pipelines, supporting & facilitating governance processes, , and partnering with the Outsourcing & Governance team to deliver both compliance and controls effectiveness.. Your work will help ANZ stay well-governed, risk-aware, and aligned with both local and global procurement standards.

The Procurement Planning & Compliance Specialist is a dynamic and impactful role with a broad range of responsibilities. Some of your day-to-day activities may include the below:
- Maintain accurate contract data and lifecycle visibility through proactive tracking and system administration.
- Monitor and manage regulatory compliance obligations (including BS11 and CPS230), identifying risks early and supporting resolution & mitigations.
- Collaborate with Category & Commercial Managers & Finance to perform category performance reporting and financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Support the integrity and performance of procurement systems such as SAP Ariba managing workflow enhancements, testing, and administration for seamless contract execution
- Partner with Procurement and Governance teams to ensure contract repository meets our needs.
- Provide responsive operational support for contracting activities, risk and cost reporting, and support with the triaging of work within our delivery model.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- High commercial acumen and strong analytical capability to assess cost, risk, and business priorities
- Proficiency in excel and other reporting platforms.
- Strong results orientation with proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and supporting end-to-end procurement lifecycle activities.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, risk management, and compliance disciplines
- Experience in workload or pipeline management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to influence and collaborate across teams
