Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Procurement Operations & Excellence Lead within ANZ’s Procurement function, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the both the operational delivery and transformation of procurement across New Zealand. This exciting new role reports into the Head of Procurement New Zealand & Pacific, and leads a team of Procurement operations, Procurement Excellence and Third-Party Risk management professionals located in New Zealand. You’ll ensure consistent, efficient, and compliant practices, including optimal system configuration, while driving initiatives that enhance operational excellence and global synergies. Your focus and your teams focus will be on continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives, working closely with Group Procurement colleagues as part of our Global procurement operating model to deliver best-in-class outcomes.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experienced leader with ability to build a high performing team, and trusting relationships across geographical regions.
- Deep knowledge of procurement regulations, governance frameworks, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Proven ability to lead complex procurement transformation initiatives, including digitalisation and process optimisation
- Experience with SAP Ariba and ServiceNow preferred.
- Experience working with BS11 or similar regulatory frameworks is preferred, but not essential.
- Proven ability to deliver vendor management for critical service lines in relation to procurement operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, resolve operational issues, and drive data-informed decisions
- Expertise in leveraging digital tools and emerging technologies such as automation and AI to enhance procurement performance
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills to engage senior stakeholders and articulate procurement strategies effectively, and oversee change management delivery.
