Mō te tūranga - About the role

 

As an Outsourcing Manager in our NZ Outsourcing Governance area within the Technology Performance & Planning Domain, you’ll play a key role to ensuring ongoing understanding and compliance with BS11 policy is maintained (including supporting BUs to manage their ongoing compliance). As a senior member of the team this role will partner with the Senior Manager Outsourcing and deliver clear and strategic guidance on Outsourcing/Offshoring policies.

The Outsourcing Manager is critical to making this happen and key responsibilities of the role will include the following:

 

  • Ensure ongoing alignment with the BS11 policy, empowering business units to maintain compliance
  • Management of NZ Outsourcing Governance communications plan and operating portal
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager Outsourcing, serving as a trusted deputy and provide timely and consistent advice on Outsourcing obligations and policy interpretation
  • Governance of processes and integrations to ensure continued alignment and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders and senior leaders to shape outsourcing regulatory trends and reforms globally
  • Lead proactive communication and knowledge-sharing on NZ and global outsourcing requirements and risks

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Proven ability to navigate compliance and policy frameworks, interpreting laws, codes, and standards effectively
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, capable of tailoring the message to the audience
  • Ability to drive successful outcomes through delivery management, including tracking progress, resolving challenges, and managing dependencies
  • Strong governance expertise and experience developing governance frameworks
  • Planning and prioritisation skills to support the successful delivery of strategic priorities
  • Experience optimizing business processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality
  • Ability to cultivate meaningful partnerships with senior stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment and fostering collaborative success.
