Mō te tūranga – About the role
As the Head of Home Loans Product and Portfolio Management in our Home Owners team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring ANZ is the bank of choice for Kiwi homeowners by delivering competitive, well‑managed home lending propositions that support customers in achieving their financial goals.
You will set the strategic direction for Home Loans , ensuring it meets our stretching growth objectives, provides outstanding customer and shareholder value, and delivers an experience that makes customer want to choose us. Your leadership will be critical to developing a cohesive product vision and ensuring this product proposition is relevant and competitive now in and in the future.
As a member of the Home Owners Leadership Team, you’ll work across ANZ in our cross functional team to address homeowner opportunities and challenges, bringing diverse perspectives and deep expertise to complex problem‑solving and decision‑making.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? – What will your day look like
You’ll translate strategy into action - leading the delivery, performance, and evolution of ANZ’s Home Loan offering to ensure it remains relevant, competitive, and customer‑focused. In this role, you will:
- Provide leadership to design and deliver innovative Home Loan product propositions, ensuring strong alignment to customer needs and ANZ’s strategic priorities.
- Manage the non-financial risk of the Home Loans portfolio, identifying and mitigating risks, refining processes, and providing decisive leadership through key events.
- Oversee the financial performance of the Home Loans portfolio, identifying opportunities for revenue growth, competitiveness, and strengthened shareholder returns.
- Lead operational excellence in the design, development, and delivery of Homeowners Product propositions, ensuring high quality and scalable outcomes.
- Build the capability, engagement, and collaborative culture of the Home Loans team and broader Home Owners ecosystem.
Ōu Pūkenga – What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
- Demonstrated ability to unite and lead cross functional teams behind a shared vision, driving integrated product strategy across customer, proposition, pricing, technology and business areas.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse market, customer, and internal insights, and make informed strategic decisions that deliver competitive product outcomes and effectively manage P&L.
- Expertise in both Product Management and Home Lending or the property market, ideally within a retail banking environment.
- Proven ability to influence across a wide range of stakeholders, build strong relationships, and drive outcomes without direct authority.
- Proven ability to lift delivery velocity and deliver outstanding customer outcomes at pace
- The ability to lead and foster an inclusive workplace culture - empowering diverse perspectives, creating equitable outcomes, and adapting your leadership style to bring out the best in your people.
