Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Data Engineer in our Data Services, Customer Resolution, you’ll play a key role in helping to resolve for customers the impacts of systemic issues within the banks systems and processes. This role is responsible for the development and quality of the software solutions changes.

As a Data Engineer, you will:
- working in a multi-functional agile team with development responsibility in the delivery of required technical outcomes
- accountable for delivering data outcomes including, reducing technical debt management, aligning to technical risk requirements, standards and frameworks.
- ensuring data analysis and development is tested, documented and delivered at pace.

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Essential skills
- Significant experience in SAS, particularly in the SAS macro language
Relevant Experiences
- Experience in a Customer Resolution or Remediation function
Soft Skills
- A growth mindset, with a fixation on continuous improvement
Desired Skills
- At least 3 years experience in SAS
- Great communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and business language
