Mō te tūranga - About the role

As a Test Lead in the Cards Switching NZ team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the banks’ card switching services; this team is responsible for the online authorization and processing of ATM and POS-acquired card transactions, managing data and reporting for account settlement and ensuring all transactions are processed in a schemes compliant manner. We deliver seamless and secure transaction processing for both ANZ customers and our interchange partners.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?

In this role you will have the opportunity to:
 

  • Conduct and lead testing for Card Switching, Settlement and Reconciliation, and Card Reporting
  • Assist with Test Strategy across the wider payments space
  • Develop and implement test plans, test strategy and test automation frameworks
  • Work in collaboration with multiple stakeholders to understand and plan test strategy, approach, and testing needs
  • Regularly update stakeholders on progress and issues, ensure testing scope and quality meet requirements
  • Identify and mitigate potential issues, oversee defect management for multiple projects in the Card Switching area
  • Oversee the workload for test teams, manage and guide and mentor other test engineers
  • Facilitate and participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies, including test automation maturity
  • Stay up to date with technologies and implement best practices

  • Extensive testing experience (6+ years)
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
  • Card Switching knowledge is highly desirable
  • Understanding of relational databases, web services, messaging, Unix commands
  • Ability to develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and cases
  • Leadership and mentorship skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptability to Agile and Waterfall environments
