Mō te tūranga - About the role

 

The Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of ANZ’s Corporate customers.  This role provides day to day management as well as establishing a long term partnerships through strategic discussions with customers. Areas of focus include securing new / added-value business such as capital structure advice, debt re-financing, trade and supply chain solutions, liquidity management, debt capital markets, sustainable finance, and data analytics. Another key aspect will be to monitor and manage the credit risk profile of the customer base alongside the Research & Analysis team. The role provides an exciting opportunity to apply your stakeholder management and communication skills, to provide intelligent solutions and proactive insights to help our customers grow.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

  • Develop, maintain and grow a customer portfolio with sustainable long-term client relationships

  • Enhance the bank’s profile in the marketplace – being present at networking events, and show an understanding of the business environment and our offerings

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all ANZ’s core products, and recognise when to introduce your specialist knowledge and expertise

  • Provide ongoing leadership, support, and development for Relationship Associates, Relationship Managers, and other staff as appropriate

  • Connect closely with ANZ specialists across our Institutional, Sustainability, Markets, Trade, Transactional Banking and Private Bank teams, providing scope to be part of a well-connected team, and enabling you to identify and provide early engagement on emerging Corporate customers

  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in effective coaching and supporting others through change

  • Excellent communication skills, self-awareness and the ability to be adaptive in quickly changing circumstances

  • Established networks that will help you in your ongoing success
