Mō te Tūranga – About the role


As Senior Marketing Manager, Brand & Advertising – Content Lead, you’ll lead ANZ New Zealand’s content strategy and execution, shaping high-quality, insight-led storytelling that strengthens the ANZ brand and delivers meaningful outcomes for customers and the business.

This role drives content across campaigns, owned channels, and digital experiences, ensuring consistency, quality, and effectiveness across every touchpoint. You’ll also lead and develop a team of content specialists, establish best-practice content standards, and work closely with senior stakeholders and agency partners to deliver creative excellence at scale.

Role Type: Permanent, full time (12-month secondment/Fixed term) 
Role Location: Auckland  
Work Hours: Standard, 37.5 hours per week 

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? – What will your day look like


As the Content Lead, you will:

  • Define and steward ANZ New Zealand’s content strategy, aligned to brand positioning, customer insight, and business priorities
  • Lead content planning and creative development across AV, visual, digital, social, and written formats
  • Translate customer, brand, and cultural insights into compelling content ideas and executions
  • Partner closely with Campaign Managers, Media, Digital, and Corporate Affairs teams to integrate content seamlessly across campaigns and customer journeys
  • Optimise content for ANZ’s owned channels, ensuring quality, consistency, and effectiveness across touchpoints
  • Provide values-led leadership to a team of content specialists, coaching and developing high performance and capability
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders up to Managing Director and C-suite level
  • Lead and manage creative, production, and content agency partners
  • Oversee content production budgets and ensure effective use of investment
  • Ensure all content meets regulatory, compliance, brand, and reputational requirements
  • Measure content effectiveness and apply insights to drive continuous improvement and marketing ROI

  • Significant experience in content strategy, brand or product content creation, creative development, or marketing
  • Deep expertise across AV, visual, digital, social, and written content formats
  • Strong creative judgement and the ability to guide high-quality content development
  • Proven ability to translate insights into impactful storytelling
  • Experience leading and developing content or creative teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influence skills, including working with senior leaders
  • Experience managing agencies and creative partners
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic planning skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
