As a Senior Data Technical Manager in our Customer Resolution team, you'll provide strategic and technical leadership across Customer Resolution data services, performing the delivery of critical remediation activities, governance requirements and customer outcomes.
Leading a team of data professionals, you'll be responsible for developing sustainable and scalable data capabilities, delivering complex data solutions, and driving continuous improvement across data frameworks, automation and technical practices. You'll play a key role in shaping the future direction of Customer Resolution data services, ensuring critical data assets, technical knowledge and capabilities are maintained in a resilient and controlled manner.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like
You'll lead the delivery and evolution of Customer Resolution data services, providing technical leadership, governance oversight and strategic direction across complex data initiatives. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll help ensure data solutions are sustainable, scalable and support positive customer outcomes.
- Lead the development and execution of Customer Resolution data capability, performing remediation event activities, governance requirements and future-state operating models.
- Oversee and deliver complex data solutions for customer remediation events, including customer identification, impact assessments, calculations, testing and implementation activities.
- Support the delivery and continuous improvement of capabilities that enable exception reporting, control monitoring and customer outcome oversight, ensuring solutions remain fit for purpose and aligned to future business needs.
- Provide senior technical leadership across solution design, quality assurance, governance, documentation and risk management practices.
- Drive automation, standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability and operational resilience across Customer Resolution data services.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of data professionals, building capability, supporting succession planning and helping reduce key-person dependency risks.
- Partner with stakeholders across Customer Resolution, Pacific Products, Risk, Technology, Operations and governance forums, providing trusted advice and data-driven recommendations to support effective decision-making.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Proven experience leading complex data, analytics or reporting functions, with strong technical expertise across data delivery, governance, solution design and quality assurance.
- Advanced analytical and technical capability, including experience with SQL, SAS, Python, data modelling, reporting frameworks and data quality management, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical data solutions.
- Experience supporting customer remediation, risk management, governance, operational controls or regulatory obligations, with a strong focus on delivering accurate, auditable and high-quality outcomes.
- Strong people leadership experience, including coaching and developing high-performing technical teams, building capability, supporting succession planning and creating sustainable operating models.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, build trusted relationships and present complex technical concepts in a clear and meaningful way.
- Strong strategic thinking, planning and problem-solving skills, with experience driving continuous improvement, automation, modernisation initiatives and scalable data capabilities in complex environments.
